I've never been to Sandals but I have been to OCHO RIOS and it the most beautiful place. And I have heard nothing but excellent things about Sandals, so I would say BOOK IT. You have to climb Dunns River Falls too. Good Luck.

I was there years ago and I loved it! As soon as you go through customs, you meet the bus driver and they give you a drink. There's a cooler on the bus with more drinks for the ride. You get to Sandals, and take a seat in the lobby, and they give you another drink (do you see a theme here?) The resort is beautiful - lots of flowers and vegetation. They don't allow anyone to harass you on the beach selling things, although there were a couple guys in boats that would come up to you while your were swimming. They had one day per week where the local craftsmen and women would be allowed on the property to sell things. And yes, definitely go to Dunn's River Falls. It's touristy, but beautiful. Bring water shoes. And Sandals Dunns River is close by, so there is a shuttle you can take to visit, use their pool, eat, whatever - just for a change of pace. I liked Ocho Rios better than Dunns River - JMO. You should have a great time!

we went to ocho rios beaches not sandals. i didn't really like it. the bus ride from the airport is an hour and a half and not the best bus either. aside from that, i just don't think i like all inclusives so my opinion is biased that way. i thought the beach was way too small and didn't really like the food (but again this was beaches not sandals). plus we don't really like to sit on a beach all day and there wasn't much else to do off the compound.
so all in all- i think i'm a bad person for an opinion because i just don't think that is my scene. so if you like all inclusives and you like sitting on the beach then it was nice. but the bus ride still sucked.

Ditto ... I haven't been to Sandals, but I've been to Ochos Rios and I loved it there!
Dunns River Falls was THE HIGHLIGHT! ITs a really pretty place, the water is great.. ANd I hear very positive things about Sandals resorts in general so I think you cannot go wrong!
