Has anyone been to or had their wedding at:

Rennassiance in Queens, or George Washington Manor?

At first we were going to rule out Gerorge Washington B/c of a rude BM @ Milleridge but now we're debating...

Can I pull off a black tie affair at either place?

I have heard great things about the Renaissance, my friend had her daughter's baptism party there & loved it. I told my mom to look into it for my shower, but I really don't know anything about the type of rooms etc. As for location, it's not the best in Astoria, but it's still okay. Definitely inquire about parking.

My girlfriend used to tend bar at the Renaissance. She said it was nice and the food was good but got a ticket when she went to pick up her check. Definitely check about parking!

It's good! (GWManor) She had minor issues, from what it sounds like but it looks great! Very beautiful! My in-laws attended a wedding there and said it was lovely.

My sister had her sweet 16 at GWM. Its in a nice location (roslyn) but its a little run down. Not the nicest place IMO. There is a park and hotel close by.

I think you are thinking of Ricardo's. That is a great place with excellent food.

Renaissance is new. It's about half a mile from Riccardo's and is also on 21st Street.

I've only heard good things. Is there a particular reason you're interested in Renaissance? There;s another place close to it that I would highly recommend because of food/view etc. It's called Water's Edge.

I was married at GWM and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. My wedding was wonderful and everyone in attendance couldn't stop raving about it.

we saw pic's in Wedding sites & services the inside is brethtaking and the price seems really great!!
