Has anyone been to the Boathouse in Merrick?

My birthday is on saturday and its going to be hot hot hot outside.

I wanted to have dinner with some friends on the water. FH found this restaurant in Merrick called the Boathouse. Just wanted to see if anyone has been there and could tell me if I should pick a different place or not. There were no pictures or a website online. TIA!

I've been there for dinner once, it's right around the block from where FH's parents live. I thought it was just ok but I know a lot of people who go there all the time and just love it. I'm very picky with food though. It's very beautiful, right on the water. I think it might be on the expensive side.

I've never been to the Boathouse...Why not try Freeport? There are a lot of great restaurants on the Nautical Mile.
