Has anyone been to the View Restaurant at the Marriot Marquis in NYC??

DH just got a gift certificate there as a thank you gift and I am curious for some reviews.

I've been there a couple of times, but just for drinks. I think that it's a great place.

same here... went there, but just for cappucino. In all honesty... i go there just to ride the elevator straight up to the 43rd floor and back down again (its like an amusement ride to me ) but i digress....

the cappucino was good and the atmosphere was elegant AND comfortable at the same time.
(sorry that i was basically No help.. i Do love their elevators though)

We went here for my 21st b-day. Absolutely wonderful, but that was (ugh!) over 10 years ago. They gave me a box of chocolates as a birthday gift and came out with a dessert with an edible banner that said Happy Birthday. And you can't beat the view.

We went there a long time ago as well, and to be honest I was not impressed with the food at all.

However - that was about 7 years ago, so it might be better now. I would definitely give it another shot - and the view is amazing!
