Has anyone been to Venetian Shores Park in Babylon?
I am thinking about going there for pictures. I can only find a few pictures online. It looks amazing and on a Friday afternoon in September I don't think there would be too many people out on the beach.
Has anyone been there recently? I know they are working on renovations this summer....

I havent been there but I know my sister takes my niece there because they put in a kiddie water park. They went the other day but left b/c my sister said there was 5 million kids. If it is close, I would take a drive down there to check it out yourself. I also think the construction is still going on. Not 100% sure. HTH
Maybe you want to check Argyle Lake also.

I live about 10 blocks away...I know they opened a waterpark & so its packed through the summer, but I think it closes Labor Day weekend. It is just a small beach and there are picnic tables & there is a tiny area w/ pine trees...very pretty though.

I am taking my pics there-- it is very nice and on a clear day you can see the Robert Moses Bridge... The construction is complete, but it can be crowded... we will be there next Friday evening, but I am not worried b/c people will get out of the way for a wedding party. In Sept. it should be pretty empty, though. Check it out-- they have live music, food and drinks there every Friday night. If you go next week, you'll see me and my wedding party!

We took pics there!! It was prob around 5pm on a sat (june 10th) and there was no one else around. I think the photog got some great pics on the beach. If you go at a later time in the day there won't be too many people.

We just took pics there 2 weeks ago and loved it. We got there around 1:30 pm and there was a crowd at one area but we went over to a more secluded area and got some great pics, some non-pro pics are in my community album. Def. go check it out
