has anyone done a KIDS table for their wedding reception??
i am having a good amount of kids, i have a lot of little cousins. i was thinking of doing the same thing my sister in law did when her and my brother got married last feburary. she put all the little cousins together in a table just them (they didnt sit with the parents) and she put some fun stuff for them on the table so they can have fun and intertain themselves during the night.. i think i am going to be doing this to, but i was wondering if anyone else has done this?? because i dont know what i should put on the kids table for them to have fun and be busy?? i was thinking of putting on each plate setting a box of crayons and coloring book.. but what else can i do?? im in need of some cuteee ideas for these little guys!! :)

i'm going to seat the kids with their parents but i will have a seperate table for fun stuff for the kids

I think it's nice to sit them together & give the parents a break!! If they are really little and need help with cutting food etc. then maybe they can't sit there.
They prob. won't need much stuff, just dancing and running around is fun for kids. Crayons always a hit & not messy. Honestly the last wedding I went too... the kids were very entertained drinking virgin mixed drinks and hiding under the table.

I am only having three kids at the wedding and I am making coloring books for them that I printing b/c its like a wedding story that they can color and with other activities, if want a copy send me an FM with your email
What ages are kid??? I will put cards and stufff like that in the table

I am going to have the couple of kids I have coming to sit with their parents.... the last thing I want, is to hear screaming and yelling coming from the kiddie table lol ..... I understand parents need a break, but I am paying way too much for this wedding- the parents should be watching after their children

Also, the kids will be dancing too so I dont think you need to go overboard with buying stuff for them.

I think we're going to wind up with 2 kids tables. Besides coloring books, I was thinking of going to Michaels. They have a ton of craftsy things - just be careful not to get them anything that could get on you - like paint, etc. I was also thinking of ordering little things from Oriental Trading. Check out their website, they have a ton of little toys, foam kits to make things like masks (I'm wondering if letting them use glue will be a problem though - maybe a glue stick). Cards for Go Fish and puzzles might also be fun. Good luck!

yeah i was thinking having the coloring books with their own set of crayons, and some cute things like those fancy twirling straws they will also love to have to drink from their cups.. and i did think of the cards idea, so i might get a few deck of cards for the older kids to play cards and even a game of memory cards or something like that and i think that should be enough?? i have to ask my sister in law what else she put in the kids table cause she did this same thing for their wedding!! :)
