just curious if anyone has done teeth whitening? what method did you use (laser vs trays)? how much did it make your teeth sensitive?

I always do the crest strips when I have a big event and they really do whiten my teeth. My teeth become very sensitive so I use sensodyne while I am using them and then it is fine. In my family we have naturally white teeth and when my mom got the laser done they were sooo white it was funny for about 2 weeks.

at the hitched on the house contest, they had a vendor set up, a DDS, that was promoting using his brand of whitening which was done in a tray and he said that lasers don't work...i don't know much about teeth whitening so thats why im curious to see who's actually done it...i have sensitive teeth to begin with, so i'm worried how much worse they would get...it's temporary though right?

I am a HUGE fan of Crest White Strips! I've had nothing but positive results with them and not to sound like a teeth snob, but I get compliments on the whiteness of my teeth all the time.... hahaha

i did the stripes once and they made my teeth so sensitive that it hurt when i breathed! i had to stop mid way.
My fiance got his teeth lasered and he was in so much pain that night. I have never seen him like that BUT the next day he was fine. And his teeth look FABULOUS!

I never done the whitening but I have used the strips and had a problem. Even those are not cheap though if you do it all the time.

With the strips instead of using them twice I day I did once and used the sensodyne and it really helped with sensitivity

Ive always used the strips, and love them! They do make my teeth a bit more sensitive, but not too bad. My aunt got hers lasered and they were REALLY sensitive afterwards.

wow- sounds like the strips are the way to go! maybe ill try once a day first and use sensodyne and then move up to twice a day if i think it need it or the sensitivity thing isn't too bad!

And your teeth came out white still?
Yes they still were very white (but I have pretty white teeth to begin with because I don't drink coffee or soda).

i asked my dentist the other day at my 6 month cleaning what whitening costs...they have zoom which is what the groupon is for and they said 462 dollars which includes the treatment and the toothpaste to use prior to the service to decrease sensitivity...i'm thinking of buying the groupon for my fiance but i always get so nervous with these silly coupon deals

I just used Groupon for laser hair removal and had no problem! I am curious about the teeth whitening too - is Zoom laser whitening? My teeth are a little sensitive but I am worried about it getting worse, especially for the wedding and honeymoon! I want to be able to eat and drink without pain haha, but I really want to do SOMETHING before the big day. Has anyone tried Go Smile?

i used the as seen on tv one like 5 times before my wedding and it worked a little bit. definitely made my teeth sensitive though
