I have eaten there and it was really good! I think it would be a great place to go.

Re: Has anyone eaten at PassionFish in Woodbury?
I hate to be a fart about this, but I went about a year ago and while it seemed rather nice, the service was a little under par as well as the food. I thought for that money it should have been better. Now, having said that, I live in the area and I haven't been back in a year. Also, the room got filled up quickly and it was extremely loud, meaning the acoustics in the room didn't make it a quiet dinner as I was hoping for. Maybe it was an off night?

I appreciate you commenting on your experience. It's always good to hear both sides of it, so no worries. I don't expect everyone to love the same things, but again, I appreciate you commenting on things you noticed when you went!
Thanks again everyone for commenting!

You would think so, but it never was. Artie is the owner of Red Fish. He left the Plainview location to open another one in Smithtown, but I don't know if that plan worked out. The Coolfish owners own Passionfish and Thom and Thom.

Hey, that would make sense...because before it was Red Fish it was called Fat Arties (I think)... I grew up and my parents still live 1 min from there.. See you learn something new every day..

I am sorry but i totally have to agree with this. this is actually an inside joke with FH and i and another couple!!! I dont know, maybe its just because we are 'plain' people but we thought it was the worst dining experience we have ever had!!! We actually know the owners father (wonderful wonderful people) who had given us a gift certificate for like $400 to the place, so we went, and somehow our bill came out to like 380. i wouldnt say so much that the food was bad, it was just weird. we really barely knew what we were eating! I will also say this was at least a year and a half ago, and everyone around us was having a blast and really enjoying the food, but the 4 of us are more chicken, steak and burger type of people I guess...sorry jmo

I have never eaten at Passionfish but coolfish in syosset is excellent and also there is a fairly new restaurant in oyster bay called wild honey that is owned by the former manager of coolfish and it is amazing there as well
