has anyone ever.....

made theire own DIY STD Magnets? My MOH designed my STD and it came out so amazing. I am ordering from MagnetStreet.com And I placed my order on Sunday and they called me saying they couldnt open the file w/the design bc they dont have the program my MOH used. Now dont you girls think that a company like that should have all the lastest and up to date programs esp for a company like Magnetstreet.com? Or am i just wrong. Ordering my STD is taking longer than I expected. Now I have to wait for my MOH to make the changes that they want and hopefully she can find the program they have which is an older version of the program!

P.S. has anyone else used magnetstreet.com for their STD magnets for for anything else? if so how was your experience with them and with the product you ordered?

Sorry I cant help, all I had to do was submit a picture.
Maybe your friend can copy the image and save it either in Powerpoint, Publisher or Photoshop as a jpg file.

I did but i did it in indesign. What you would need to do is save as or export to a jpg high resolution (300 dpi). That is what they want.

i dont know much about the lingo of the program but the guy called and said he couldnt open the file because it was made in 'CS2' or 'CS3' and that it needed to be 'downsaved' as a CS1....my MOH did the design on Photoshop Illustrator...

i should have just done that...send in a pic....i just spoke to MOH hopefully she can fix it soon....i want to order them already it will be one less thing to worry about!

sounds like illustrator - then they have to his save as (.eps file) make sure all text is lines and cuves OR menu bar - text- outlines (make sure all text is selected prior to doing this) then save as hit eps as your file format and one tab should allow you to downsave ot a earlier version

ok i dunno lol MOH is the expert at it...so i left it up to her....they wanted it in CS1 format and all the fonts outlined? i have no idea what any of that meant....but thankfully MOH did...LoL

We used our engagement picture and turned them into DIY STD Magnets. Pictures in album! They turned out great.....were easy to make and SUPER cheap!!!!
