had to replace a member of the BP 3 weeks before the wedding????
Now, I would like to add that this replacement is not desired, but necessity. One of FH's GM is out on military leave. He was supposed to be relieved on Aug. 8. His replacement didn't have the right credentials, so went to training and was supposed to show up Sept. 6. Now said date comes and goes, and the replacement is REFUSING to take the assigned post, thus leaving our beloved GM high and not so dry (he's on a ship in the sea of Japan) and stuck with the new replacement date of Sept. 30. And he's not sure that the guy is even going to show up given the previous history. And the wedding is Oct. 1...
So I guess I'm looking for thoughts as to either should we:
A: not replace him at all, leave his spot blank, and acknowledge him in the program B: replace him, but still acknowledge
TIA

Re: Has anyone ever...
i would do option A imo...my cousin couldnt come home for his brothers wedding and thats what they did, it was really sweet and still made him feel like part of the wedding tho he could not be there

Crashing...
I would go with option A. In the chance that he could show up, at least his spot will still be there.

Re: Has anyone ever...
option B. It would be ideal if u can find somebody to rake his place in case he can't be present at the wedding but I guess it'd be kinda mean for the other person to not know for sure if he's gonna be in the wedding, this one is def a tough one!
