Just wondering. I guess our most famous LIWer is Heidla since she's on Broadway. And I remember Julz was on the Today show. Do we have any others or your FH/FW? If so, let us know where we may have seen you.
I've never been on anything - always wanted to try out for a game show but never got around to it.

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
I was on FOX, Penny Crone interviewed me. My purse was stolen at my job, and firefighters wound up chasing the thief down in their truck. This was back in 1999
Last Sunday I went to a taping for Comedy Central--we'll see if I get my 5 seconds are fame.

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
I was on Ricki Lake.
Yes, actually on stage.
A couple of years ago my college roommate was an associate producer and apparently the night before her show, somebody backed out. So she called me at work and begged me to be a guest. I asked my boss and the next thing I knew, I was backstage sitting in the make-up room. Because my friend worked there, I got to go behind the scenes and meet Ricki!! Anyway, it was the show 'Date My DJ Son Please' and I was one of the 'behind door number 2' segments. I was supposed to only say one line into the microphone (and not really be seen) and then the famous radio DJ had to guess which girl was his ex coming back into his life. She was behind door number 3 but for some reason he says...I pick door number 2. I looked at the producer and he gave me the thumbs up and mouthed 'you're on'. So I got to walk out on stage and wave at the audience and blow a kiss to the DJ. It was really fun. I stayed for the next show's taping and I got two free Ricki Lake tee shirts. I also got to meet the other radio DJs that were guest, the guy from 103.5 and Z100.

I was on Telicare, Channel 25 Sunday Family Mass program.
I was in the third grade and they picked a few of us from St. James Youth Choir who were students to sing on the fake mass.
It aired 2x.
I also cut class at JJAY to see Dorothy Hammil Ice Skate for the TODAY show. I was on camera for that and got my picture with her!!

I was an audience member at Ricky Lake, too! I was on the news as a kid at some pro golf tournament, I was 3 and fell asleep in the front row..I guess they thought it was cute. I was in a bon jovi video, lol. I was also in Major League I and II because my Aunt's best friends husband was the producer and I was cheap labor when they needed extras.
I dont remember what year it was but it was when Geraldine Ferraro was running for VP, she came to our classroom and I asked a question and it was on the news. And later that year, PS 69 in Jackson Heights was protesting overcrowding and I was picketing with my mom and I was on the front page of the Daily News.

Really!?! That's cool!! Did you win anything?
I was interviewed on TV once at the Smithsonian about the First Ladies' dresses - I think I was about 13.
Slightly related, I was on the cover on a magazine once for my job - it's a trade magazine called Incentive. That was kind of cool.

I just wanted to say that I am SO jealous of everyone who was on Romper Room! I loved that show as a kid and always wanted them to call my name when they were saying 'hello' to all their friends.
For a couple of years I was one of the anchors for an aviation news program on the D.C. equivalent of L.I. Channel 12 news. (I stopped doing that 2 years ago.)

I was in the audience for Ricki Lake too! ( it tapes across the steret from my job) and the old Jon Stewart Show on Ch.9.
You could see me for a quick sec, when you slowed the tape down. ( both shows)
I was interviewed by news 12 in HS to disucss an event I was co-organizing, but they didn't show it. They kept rephrasing the same quesion, I guess I wasn't giving them the answer they wanted to hear, so they interviewed the Student Council presedent even though she had nothing to do with the event.

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
I was on the local news channel (2,4,5,7,9,11) for 3 years around xmas for a X-mas festival for music called Tuba X-Mas. You can see me playing my instrument just as they pan around. Each year, they always had a famous conducter. I forget who they were but mostly chanel 4 people since they own Rockerfell Center.
News12 In high school, Kim Grimball had nothing better to do, so he played Tennis with the team. I got an interviewed and they showed it that night. --------- beach cleanup after a storm (i forget when) i was just in the crowd of kids
MTV was in the audience of Lip Service (game when you just lip sync and get judged by speical guest) Shook Carltons hand of Fresh Prince of Bel Aire
Sportschannel (thats right, old channel 3 or 10 depending on where you lived) My team had speical because a dear friend of main has an illness and he should of been playing with us. They interviewd my friend and showed my team playing. Don't know who found out about that store but they shot it.
i guess i'm done, no more tv

I was interviewed to give my opinion on the verdict of a court case on the people's court
ME TOO!!! in the Mall!
I was also on the Alanis Morsett MTV special, and a Frontline story (that was fimed in my class at SUNY Stony Brook)

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
I actually act and sing myself. I did it professionally for a year. Did mostly theater stuff but was in 2 movies. One was a VERY B-rate movie called Dead Air...showed on HBO, like once I think one person (in the world) saw it. It was horrible. I was also an extra in Mariah Carey's bomb 'Glitter'...I couldn't find myself though. I really wasn't feeling acting though...I just want to sing. One needs $$$ to do that though or someone with $$$ who wants to donate. Any takers?
FH was actually in the movies too. He did 'Game Day', he was one of the Basketball players.
I miss going into the city on auditions, and I hate to be a wuss, but I really stopped (and I mean screeeech) after 9/11/01. Had a fear of going to the city after that. I know that's bad.

I was on a special about Las Vegas on the Discovery Channel a few yrs ago.....very briefly you see me and my 2 friends dancing the night away at the voodoo lounge at the Rio Hotel....it was so funny.
People called me up after it aired and were like we saw you partying your *** off in Vegas!!!! Good thing I wasnt doing anything too stupid on camera - just dancing.

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
Mine is pretty lame.
I went to a saturday school and we always had Christmas Plays that ran in January. I forget what cable channel it was. So, I was on this channel for a couple of years for this play.

I was in the audience for Ricki Lake and John Edward (I was front row for his show). During Ricki my friend got up and totally went off on a guy- it was really funny
I was also on news 12 maybe 2 years in a row for a 'sleepout' we did in college every year to raise money for Homeless charities.

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
Maury Povich Show back in college...I was an audience member and asked a question. I was also on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' when it first came out. When one of the contestants asked for the audience help, the camera zoomed in right on me. Suprisingly alot of people saw me on this one.
Now I work in public relations, so sometimes I'm in the background (not intentionally) when my clients are being interviewed or when I am at an event.

Re: Has anyone ever been on TV?
In HS my friends and I went to several talk shows - we were in the audience for Maury and Sally Jesse. We also went to the Charles Perez show and my friend asked a question and got into a fight with a guest. They later sat in the rows next to us and told us it was all an act and they apologized. I think it was about gold diggers...
