FI and I are leaving April 20th for my cousin's wedding. We're taking an extra 2 days by ourselves, has anyone ever been there? What kind of stuff is there to do? we are staying in downtown denver those 2 days we have by ourselves.
Any thoughts on what to do?

I went there many many years ago when I was a kid, so I guess I can't suggest you check out the local chuckie cheese or anything, but my main memory was that it was very clean and the air was so fresh, I'm sure there are a ton of things to do such as restaurants and some site seeing, just look on the internet.

Are you renting a car? If so you can drive out to Boulder. If your not you can stay in Denver and go to the 16th Street mall..they have loads of shopping and some really cool restaurants that you can eat outside. Coors Field is also right around there and down the street from that is this restaurant called the Chophouse that has pretty good nightlife and really good food. There is lodo's bar and grille and a really good sports bar called Jackson's all American Sports bar (chophouse is across the street) Actually all around Coors Field is good nightlife. Just remember, last call is at like 1:00am LOL..The Denver History Museum is in Denver and so is the Botanical Gardens which are beautiful. If you are renting a car and want to drive somewhere you can go to Garden of the Gods (a little far but beautiful scenery).

We stayed in Denver for only a night before we headed up to Summit County, so I really didn't see much of it. All I know is that b/c of the high altitude, you can drink like 1 or 2 beers & get wasted!

Yes my cousin warned me about the altititde, but thats good news for me, I wont have to spend alot of money! Yes, we're renting a car when we get to the airport. I started doing some research based on you guy's suggestions, and I think that chophouse sounds great, FI loves steak. I want to do fun stuff, like go to the botanical gardens, and FI wants to go to the mircobreweries, so I think we'll compromise. Hey, after 2 beers and last call being 1am, I'll be ready for bed.

We went to Georgetown. an old mining town, on our way to Vail. It was a beautiful drive - Georgetown is lovely and quaint, while Vail is just...well...so perfect.

My brother use to live there (before Florida Denver was more fun) I was 14 the last time I was there. But we went horse back riding and drove up the mountains. Ate some rocky mountain fudge. And went to a little town like Kara was talking bout. Im no Help but have fun. Its a beautiful city.

Are there going to be any baseball games while you are there? The stadium is right in the middle of the city.
