Has anyone ever been to paris!!!!

me and fh deciding on a honeymoon,anyone have been here, pros and cons of going here.

A lot of people love Paris. My friend and I went on a 1 day trip there while we were in London and had a horrible time there. It's a long story but the entire day was bad from start to finish. Maybe if we went to other areas it would have been better.

I've been to Paris - my sister and I went there a few summers ago. We had a blast! Everything in Europe is connected by railroad so you can hop on the express train and go over to London - it's only an hour and a half away by train. Or was it two hours? I don't remember but it was really close and London is a blast too. If you love art, definitely vist the Louvre - just don't plan it for a Tuesday because they are closed. That's what happened to us! You'll love it there - so much to do.

never thought of that , thanx for the tip.i wanted to see london also. i like to go to other places to visit. not much into beaches, like to see other cultures, etc etc...

We went to Notre Dame (that was a not so nice area--we had a homeless man walking around in what used to be white under pants with poop smeared all down his legs), the luvre and the eiffle tower. I just really wasn't that impressed with any of it. The river tour on the boat was ok though.

Keep in mind this was 1 year ago so I remember everything pretty well.

The line was really long so we didn't go up the tower but we did go there. We took the tour boat thing from right in front of it.

Paris is beautiful! However, get ready for all of the tourists and lines like she said! All of the major tourists spots like eiffel tower, versailles, louvre, etc. are always so packed. However it is a very romantic city, if you want to go to france did you consider monte carlo, nice, bordeaux? So much more HM like than a big city like paris.

I've been to both paris and london. I liked them both. You should go see all the touristy things. I loved it because it was so neat to see all that history.

my FH likes to walk around , and for me i the same way, so we dont want to do the beaches ,sand and the surf, we really not into it.So i need an idea if this a good spot if not, it back to the thinking board of a honeymoon, ladies any places in europe for honeymoon.

I think thats the perfect time to go actually! Its packed in the summer and you get tired b/c there are so many people all going to the same place at the same time, kindve like six flags lol. But i think in october it will be alot less crowded because it gets chillier during that time of month. Definitly hit up paris in october you wont regret it! Oh and london is really nice too, its a big city like ny well imo its so much better than ny, and its always crowded there no matter when you go but its really stimulating and exciting! we got engaged in lodon

What about Italy? There's lots of history in Rome and Florence and Venice (southern Italy like Sicily too). I'm hoping FH and I can go there for our 1 year anniversary next yeat.

I was only there for 24 hours. But we had a great time. It is a beautiful and romantic city.

Fh and I are going to London then Paris for our honeymoon. We leave the day after the wedding so I can let you know how it was when we get back.

I have been to Paris twice - the first time i hated it but I loved the second time! Agree parts are very romantic!

I would suggest:

1). Going to the eiffel tower very early on a week day to avoid a 3+ hr wait. ( t kills half of the day)
2). Bring a pocket translator to help with menus and signs - I found the people were not too eager to help you out.
3). If you don't smoke try to stick to restaurants with out door seating so you don't leave dinner smelling like an ashtray. (i saw people smoking a cigarette as they were eating!)
