Ive cruised before but never on this ship. Our friends are getting married via cruise next year in Bermuda so its not like we can choose another boat.
How was it? ( Ive only cruised on a boat this old once before and it was aweful. )

Re: Has anyone ever cruised on the Celebrity Zenith?
I've done this cruise to Bermuda back in '98 and loved it. It's a little stuffier than say a Carnival cruise (must dress for dinner - no shorts allowed in dining room etc), but definitely well worth it. Elbow beach is THE beach to visit when in Bermuda. If you have any specific questions - feel free to ask! So nice not to have to fly anywhere anedl eave right out of NY. Great shopping too in Hamilton (I think)!

Re: Has anyone ever cruised on the Celebrity Zenith?
We just went on the Horizon, and one of my co-workers went on the Zenith 2 weeks after us. We enjoyed it! They are the same exact cruise but one goes to ST. George first and then to Hamilton while the other goes in reverse. Bermuda is so beautiful. In St. George try to go to the St Catherine's beach! So beautiful. In Hamilton go to Horseshoe Bay beach. It was one of the most amazing beaches I have ever seen. The food on the ship is unbelievable and if you don't like what they bring you just let them know and they will bring you something else. My DH had 3 lobsters on lobster night It is true you have to dress for dinner but we liked it. You will have a fabulous time. The only thing is it can be rough leaving out of NY depending on the weather. Hope that helped

Thanks girls. Ive cruised before and have been to Bermuda before...im mostly concerned with the activites on the ship ... there seems to be a lot of days at sea and not nearly as many activity options as the other ships Ive been on. I hate being bored.

I think you're right in that respect - there is alot of time at sea - 1.5 days days on each end maybe but it's alot of fun. Lots of stuff to do... bask in the sun, listen to the music, gamble, deck activities (pool games etc), shows, always something going on! I would do it again. I actually am cruising the Mediterranean next year on Celebrity's Millenium. Can't wait!

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks!
I'll be departing on Zenith on the 30th of this month!
I'm so excited about it. I'm so-so about the getting dressed up thing - but i figure all those days at sea will give me something to do.

Re: Has anyone ever cruised on the Celebrity Zenith?
LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!!!! It was my first cruise and it was so freakin awesome!! I went on a Carnival cruise two years later and they didn't even compare. Berumuda is amazing as it is, and I loved the fact that we were docked there for awhile and we didn't have to rush and try to see everything in a couple of hours so we could ship out to the next place.
I loved the couple of days at sea. The band was awesome and there were so many activities to do. On the Carnival ship there was no music playing and hardly anything going on around the main pool area.
The food was great on the Zenith. Yeah, it was a little more formal than Carnival, but really how often do you have the chance to get dressed up? (For me, not very often, though I know others do)
I loved the fact that all we had to do was drive into the city and leave from there. We didn't have to worry about getting to Florida or something first.
