A friend that works with DH told him she went on an escorted tour through a company called Gate 1 Travel. She said she really enjoyed it. But I dont know what to expect. Has anyone ever done this??? They have a Moroccan one were interested in...

I have been on a couple through europe & loved them butttttt I dont think I would want to do one for my honeymoon- yes, you see a lot of places, but every day you are in a new place which equals, unpacking & then repacking the next morning & usually having to board the bus EARLY (like 7am early), plus you do spend a lot of time on a bus traveling from location to location.

FH and I went to Greece with Gate 1 Travel.
I have to tell ya, it was awesome!!
We traveled Greece for 2 weeks with them, and although we were on a 'tour' we had plenty of down time to do our own thing -- which we loved.
Everything was very well orchastrated, even when things didn't go as planned (i.e. when we arrived in Athens there was a strike, so our flight to Mykonos was cancelled.. We were flipping out b/c we didn't know what to do, but a representative was there to greet us and take us to a hotel for the night and rearrange all of our travel plans for the next day.) They really went above and beyond for us, and we both agreed that we'd definately use them again.
