Has anyone ever felt this way

Has anyone ever felt this way

I feel aqward sometimes because I feel like I am not spending enough on the wedding.....It seems like I have one of the lowest budgets on here....not that I think my day will be any less...just makes me a little self concious sometimes....

I do...because some girls seem to have unlimited funds. BUT then I quickly remind myself that my wedding will:

A) not put me into debt

AND

B) be exactly my style, what I want, what my FH wants and....

C) PERFECT!!!

And yours will be too!!!!

ALL THE TIME!!!! FH and I are paying for everything ourselves too. We just sold our condo (signing contracts tomorrow) and are moving back with my parents just so we can afford it!! And now my FH's brother is getting married a month after us and my best friend (MOH) is getting married 4 months after and they have no limit to spend! It gets frustrating and hard to handle sometimes, but the way I see it ... it's what the day means thats important, not the favors or how much you spend on photos, etc.

i Feel the same way...its especially hard when other people you konw have unlimited funds but you do what you can and work with what you have and you will be happy. This whole thing is about the two of you and the way i look at it is that if this and that doesnt go right and if i cant afford this 'extra' item...in the end im marrying my best friend, the love of my life and thats what its all about!

i know for sure i am spending a lot less than a lot of girls on here, but it doesnt bother me at all, to each his own, our day will be special for US & that's what really matters.

Yeah, I do get that feeling sometimes. But, I know we are having an amazing wedding, and not breaking the bank, which is great.

I get that feeling a lot because FH's first wedding was 80k plus..... and we're well under half of that. It kind of makes me nervous that people might be expecting it to be like that one.... but, I think NY weddings rival any other state, so, while it might not COST that much, it will look like it did!

Absolutely!!! Everyone who comes to a wedding outside NY is always impressed! So dont worry about it. Im sure you are going to look amazing and your wedding will be beautiful!

I feel that way sometimes too.
I freaked out the other day because i dont have a chocolate fountain or a vienese hour , and for a lot of other $$ reasons.
but then i realized, the wedding will be perfect. no one will care that there was no chocolate fountain, and people will automatically assume i spent a ton on my gown and what not.
It'll be perfect, just like yours will be.

The only time i feel this way is when i spend too much time on here or on the knot.

Get outa town-- it doesn't matter what your budget is. We all have very different budgets on here. I know mine is also a lot lower than most too. You don't have to spend $50,000 to have a beautiful wedding. We are paying for our wedding ourselves and our pockets arent very deep.

I am always weighing what I want vs need and trying to consider if I would regret NOT having something after all is said and done. Sometimes you just have to cut things out to fit the budget- it's ok.

You should NEVER feel embarrased about your budget or feel you have to keep up with Jones'. If anyone on here ever intentionally makes you feel that way- we will all kick their butts, right girls!!!!

Too bad we can't all have Eva Longoria's budget

I think a lot of you took the words out of my mouth...it's about you and your husband. I'm def. on a strict budget

I know what you mean, but please don't feel you're the only one! We are paying for everything ourselves and are on a pretty tight budget as well. There will not be a lot of 'extras' at our wedding, but I do know that no one will leave our party doubting how much we love each other or what a happy life we'll live together - and you should feel the same!

dont feel that way...i havent booked anything bc the $$ and time is limited at the moment for me and fh.

so like i have all the ideas and nothing booked...my budget isnt partciularly low but it isnt high...but i still dont feel like i spend a lot of time on my wedding like that bc i cant right now...

dont worry...a bunch of us are in the same boat as u..

and its not how much u spend...its how much you make of that day....

Nobody who loves you will ever care how much money you spent on your wedding! The important thing is that you are in love and getting married.

I know EXACTLY how u feel. FH and I want a house so badly, but since we're footing the freakin wedding bill, we gotta wait. I was just talking with someone this past week who was talking about going to INCREDIBLE weddings, with fireworks and carriages and the whole nine. Umm... sorry, our just ain't having it. All I gotta say is THANK GOD FOR CREDIT CARDS!!!!

I completely agree. FH and I would rather save up money for our own house. However we know it is going to be a little while before we can get a house therefore we made a realistic but comfortable budget...but we def are not breaking the band and we DEF DO have a budget and havent gone over it and I will not go over it....

But...I completely understand sometimes I feel like OMG maybe my photo or flowers etc should have costed me more. But then I feel FH and I are havign the wedding we want and spending what we can afford and i dont care what people think anymore!!!

SO dont feel bad or concious Kelly. I understand the meaning of a budget- epseically since my mom and dad are not paying for it nor FH's parents. It is all us!!! But I actually feel even better knowing we can say YEAH we saved $ to have our dream wedding and to buy a house 2 yrs down the road!!!

DONT FEEL BAD!!!!!! IT's YOUR WEDDING REMEMBER THAT!!!
