I am soooo upset because I think the dress shop prdered my dress in ivory instead of white. Everytime I see a girl in my dress the embroidery looks silver, and mine looked gold, I think I remember her saying she ordered diamond white for me....my FH's tux is white, so if it is actually ivory I will look dirty, I feel sick

Have you tried comparing the dress to something really white? You will be able to tell if it is off white. Remeber the lighting in stores can be very decieving, it may look different under natural light.

it probably is white - i have the same thing with my dress!! in some lighting the embroidery looks goldish, but in photos and natural light it looks silver. i am sure your dress is fine!!

Compare it to a dress in the store thast white with silver embroidery. easiest way to tell.

I am going to call Jasmine in an hour to ask, and my FMIL is going to the shop to look at it, and compare it to another white one.

I feel sick, I just wanna leave work and go to the shop, not that they could do anything now anyway, it is a lil over a month til the wedding...

I was wrong, it wasnt snowflake white, it was diamond white they ordered

Diamond white is a softer white than just regular 'white' dresses. But they are nottttttt ivory. If you put a diamond white dress next to an ivory dress, you should definitely see a difference in color.

Diamond white was created to mimic silk white (silk is a natural material and doesn't come in the white-out white, it comes in a soft white). So designers started making diamond white so that it would not be as stark as white dresses - and they look like the color of silk white dresses.

As for the embroidery, check with the designer if the embroidery comes in gold or silver with a diamond white dress.

my dress is diamond white too.

it doesn't look ivory at all...

i think my dress looks very white...

my fiance is wearing white inside of this tuxedo - actually he bought his tuxedo/vest.

i compared it with my dress..no problemo.

Unless his tux and your dress were made of the same fabric, there will be subtle shade differences.
DON'T WORRY.
No one will notice. You are overthinking this and making your self crazy.
I looked at all of the colors that my dress came in - white, diamond white, ivory and light gold.
Huge distinction between diamond white and ivory, subtle between white and diamond.

I was thinking the same thing ... you still have plenty of time to change the tux colors.

Do worry my dress is Diamond White also... Its not ivory and its not stark white its just a soft white

Yeah, diamond white has a little different tint to it. The reason I know is that our bridesmaid dresses are burnt orange on the bottom and the top is diamond white. So it is different than the basic white but it is still beautiful. If you need anything please feel free to

Question - is your FH wearing a white TUX (meaning the jacket and pants) or just white shirt/vest/tie inside of his tux?

My dress is also Jasmine and in diamond white. We have our guys wearing ivory shirts with their tuxes. It's definitely not as white as bright white, but not as yellow as ivory. My concern is that in pictures it seems to look grayish. However, I'd rather have the guys look a little more 'yellowy' than me look off!!

If it's a Maggie Settero dress, the Diamond white is white. That is the color I got and we brought a swatch to the tux place and there is no other way to describe it besides white. I think with Maggie dresses Diamond white is what everyone thinks of as white and he pain White is sort of bluish white. Don't worry your dress will be beautiful.
