DH and I are thinking of putting down Pergo in our 1/2 BTH (to match the Pergo in the LR/DR down the hall). We installed the other Pergo, which was easy, so that doesn't concern us. However, to do this in the BTH we'd have to remove the toilet then put it back down on the Pergo.
Has anyone removed a toilet before? Is it something we can do or will we need a professional? Thanks!!!

Re: Has anyone ever removed a toilet?
Matt removed ours to get a toy that my son threw down there and it was only two bolts. It took 5 minutes total.

Yes. My FI did this twice when we re-did out 1/2 and master bedroom bathroom. The only thing he needed help with was lifting the toilet, but eveything else he did okay with.

Oh ok...I thought after we took it off we'd have to seal something and then reseal something later on. I hope we don't b/c the BTH would look great with the Pergo!

Yes, my hubby removed all three of our toilets before we moved in, to replace the wax ring that 'seals' the toilet to the sewage hole. It's a little messy, but can definitely be done!
