Has anyone ever tea-dipped anything?

The swatch I got for my dress was whiter than my actual dress came in, so... now my veil is too white.

A lady suggested quickly dipping it in tea to make it slightly more to the ivory side... but that is scary to me.

Anyone ever try this???

My BF's family used to own a bridal shop and they did this frequently. She said the best thing is to start out with a very light color tea and soak it for a while and then wait until it dries and see how much darker you need to go, since there is no un-doing it once it's done. GL!

I just googled tea dying and a ton of sites came up! HTH

I would do just a regular lipton teabag (not black tea) and a lot of hot water. Also, make sure that the veil is evenly wet before dipping in to the tea. Honestly I would start out super light since its only a shade or so off from your gown!
