My skin's too sensitive for wax! I have used Nads, though. It works pretty good. I think it usually lasts a week for me. But it's nasty in the fact that you have to grow out your underarm hair so it's long enough to wax or whatever.
You may not want to try it for the first time right before your wedding in case you have a bad reaction.

HB, it hurts a lot less than the legs! It worked good for me, but I have light hair so I don't know. The legs I still had hair - light & soft but some that just never came off - that wasn't worth it to me.

Ouch. I don't know if I could do this either. I used to get my bikini waxed, but then I stopped because I couldn't take the pain of it anymore. To me, it actually hurt more than getting tatooed!! Besides, you will have to let it grow a bit and although it last a couple of weeks, it's still painful.
You don't like shaving?? or even Nair it, that lasts a while too, but again, you have to let it grow out a bit.

I get Brazilian waxes regularly, but I draw the line at the armpit - the thought of it makes me shudder.
My sister does it - she says it not a big deal at all. The hardest part is growing it out!

I'm too scared of the pain to even try! I once had half of my bikini line waxed because I couldn't take the pain...I commend you ladies who get a brazilian!

Thanks ladies. I am really not concerned with pain, but with how long it lasts....I know if I shave the morning of the wedding some hair will have grown back by the end of the night!

I havent done it but plan to start soon, a friend of mine started doing hers and she loves it, she said it takes about a week or 2 for hair to start growing back! But you do have to let it grow about 1/4 inch to get them waxed I think.

I'va had it done, but only before going away for a week long vacation. I loved it!!! It hurt, but sorry, not nearly as much as bikini!!!! I especially liked it b/c for us brunettes, that hair is dark and even when it is just shaved, you can still kinda see a shadow if you know what I mean. I definitely lasted over a week, but maybe not quite 2.
But as everyone said, growing it out before is a pain!

Oh yeah - to answer the post - I wax my armpits regularly - easier to do in the winter than summer because you can't really tell as you are growing out - but it is really worth it - do it 1 or 2 days before the wedding because you might have red bumps the first time you do it - or try it out and see how you like it - then do it for the wedding -

Just becareful!!! I wouldnt risk it so close to your wedding!!! The first time my friend ever did it I guess her skin was really sensitive or something but it turned all red and it hurt whenever she put her arms down!
