I am beating myself up if I should dye my hair dark brown I want to do it so bad and I want to do it for the wedding but I am sooo scared that I might hate it!! Has anyone gone from blonde to brunette?? And if so were you upset you did it or happy??? Thanks

Oh I've been every color you can think of...lol, part of the reason I had to get extensions...all my hair broke and thinned horribly!
Don't do it now! If anything go for some low lights to deepen your color! If you go dark and hate it they will have to strip your hair and bleach the heck out of it to try to get you back and theres no guarentee that it won't turn a funny orange or greenish color!
Last time I went from blonde to brown, I had to chop off 8 inches of hair because it was so fried!
Wait till after the wedding because your hair is the last thing you need to stress about!

Going darker shouldn't damage your hair terribly, unless it's already heavily processed - you're adding, not lifting. I'm going darker, I want reddish highlights.

Honestly i wouldnt do it for the wedding. If youve never been brunette then you want to look like yourself for the wedding. Im a natural brunette but ive also been a blonde for 8 years now. I wouldn't do something you might keep for a very short period of time just for the wedding.

I LOVED being blonde but changing it this close to your wedding is a little scary to me. Then again I went from blonde to red and THEN to brown...so by that time my hair was in shock!!! I had to cut layers into it to get rid of the overprocessed ends and I hated it for months untill it got healthy again. Depositing color isnt usually a big deal...its just a matter of getting use to it and getting the shade you want before your big day. Sometimes blonde to brown looks a little ashey untill they get the color right. Personally Id wait till after just out of safty sake! But if your hairstylist is a Goddess then go with your gut and do what makes you happy.

Don't do it before he wedding.
If you want to darken your hair before the wedding but are not sure about the color, ask your colorist to add low lights to darken your hair gradually. I am a single process brunette, only because I have about 40% gray on my head. Too much work to highlight my hair blonde, deal with roots and grays.

wow!! You look great with both!! I'm a blonde.. i've always been afraid to go dark cause everytime i tried my hair changes to like a weird red... Plus me and my mom look exactly alike except she has dark hair.. so if i go dark, we'd be twins.. lmao.
i wouldn't try anything that drastic too close to the wedding though..if you don't like it.. or just need time to get used to it you may regret it later on. but def. feel free to go for it when you're ready! i'm sure it'll look stunning!

I too have been EVERY color out there.
I am now back to my nat color which is blonde.
Why not try some lo lites of brown to see if you like it. and if ya do just make the chunks thicker...
this way if you dont like it it would be easier to bring it back.....

Just be careful...I covered up many of my highlights a few weeks ago and they sneak back because of the heat. Make sure you have a follow up appt close to the wedding.

I've been blonde all my life then felt the need to be risky so I went brunnette, I honestly loved both (and my hair was so healthy when it was darker) but I feel more 'me' as a blondE!

I have also had every color in my hair. But for the past 3 years I have gone back & forth from Blonde to Brunette then back to Blonde again. I like to change with the seasons. Blonde for the summer & Brunette for the winter & fall. I'm actually going to get my hair done brown again in two weeks. I can't wait I want it to look nice & shiny.

I was blond for about 10 years and then dyed my hair reddish brown, now it is just brown. I love it now because it is easier maintenance and I think the blond made me washed out and you couldn't see the color of my eyes as well. But, I will say that it takes some serious getting used to by you and everyone else, so I am not sure if I would do it for your wedding...

I just did that recently. I like my brown hair now. I dunno if I am keeping it though or going back to blonde but a dirty blonde. I used to have platinum blonde hair.
