Has anyone gotten married at the Woodbury Country Club?

Hi all,

I have been looking around at possible venues for my summer 2013 wedding and loved the WCC. They were super nice and willing to work with us on pricing or anything else we need. We also LOVED the south beach cocktail hour!!! My concern is that the downstairs room is not set up to flow easily. Now, I have not actually seen any weddings in this room so I am going in blind, but we wanted a reception room where we didn't have to do a lot of decorating. I also feel this room is very long and will make me feel as though my guests are a million miles away.

Has anyone that has gotten married here have any thoughts? We love the WCC but are nervous about how much actual work we need to put into the room in order for it to look fabulous. Any help would be great!

How many people are you having?

I got married there in Jan and we had 225 in the downstairs room and honestly it was just right because of the way they set up tables. The room is very deceiving when you don't see it with all of the tables set up for a party. I'd ask if you can go back as they are getting ready for a wedding to see it in full effect if they'd let you.
