I had a bad experience at the Bridal suite of Patchogue and the worst part of it is I seen a beautiful gown there- I had an appt with them at 7pm there was nobody there- yet these 2 old bittys were debating about who was going to help me- then my friend and I picked out, and tried on dresses without ANY help from the disgruntled worker- she kept disappearing and then when we needed her she said she would get there when she is done-the BITCH was suposed to be there with us in the first place- I was so PISSED that I walked out and this was after trying on an amazing 2 peice strapless gown- I tired to find the name but they had NO NAMES on any of the gowns- I think I may go back at another time under another name just to get the name of the designer- I wouldnt order a **** thing from them- I have to give 2 THUMBS UP to ANGEL BRIDALS in East Islip they have the BEST service since I have started my gown search- maybe because they are the owners- a big 2 THUMBS- and 2 big TOES down to Bridal Suite of Patchogue-sorry to all the girls that like them

Re: Has anyone had a bad experience...
I would try a search for the style on theknot.com and weddingchannel.com, might save you a trip.

Re: Has anyone had a bad experience...
I had a major problem with Bridal Suite of Patchogue. I ordered my dress from them April 6, 2002 only to find out April 1, 2003 that they NEVER ordered it. The dress was discontinued in January and they never checked the order. They also misordered one of my bridesmaids dress and also lost 2 others and ordered the wrong color of my MOH dress. Needless to say we pulled out what we could and took what we had to Paradise Bridal. I have been working with Peter jr. and he has been wonderful.
Bea is the owner (probably one of the old bitties) and the woman is clueless.

Re: Has anyone had a bad experience...
I've been dealing with Paradise Bridal, which is a few doors down from Bridal Suite in Patchogue. They have been absolutely wonderful! Not a SINGLE problem, and even let me cancel my headpiece after the order had already been sent in! I also overheard them say they don't do fittings for all the bridesmaids at once, so there is no possibility of the wrong dress getting the wrong alterations. They break the party up, a few girls at a time. My seamstress (don't know her name!) has done excellent work on my gown (I had chiffon sleeves added to a sleeveless gown). They even put beading on the sleeves, something I didn't ask for or expect. It's SO pretty! I'd definitely give them a look.
Last time I was in Bridal Suite, there was an argument going on at the counter about alteration costs, and another customer was ****ed off because the prom dress her daughter put money down on was sold out from under them!
What a way to run a business!

I also went there. I found a dress that I liked and I never got a straight answer who the designer was. That I didn't like. I found a maggie sottero dress in a magazine that I liked and when I go to buy it, it definetly wont be there. I am going to try bridal suite in bay shore.

Re: Has anyone had a bad experience...
I just talked to my friend she was in a wedding this past weekend. She was a bridesmaid. They used bridal suite for BM dresses. She informed bridal suite that she needed extra panels in her dress. Well when the dress came in no panels!! They didn't measure her correctly! There wasn't enough time to send the dress back so one week ago she had her first and only fitting with them. (The wedding was this weekend) The dress then was too big. They then tried to fix it. But she told me that the dress was still too big when she wore it this weekend!!
Frankslady don't worry. I'm sure that everything will be fine. Usually a small thing happens with dresses and it is usually easily fixed.

when i was looking for a dress I walked in there and stood there for 15 minutes and no one helped me. I tried 2 times after that I never went back.
