I think I may be interested in finding a better look for myself and everyone always seems to rave about MAC. So I'm considering going for a makeover at the MAC at Roosevelt Mall. Has anyone does this??? Opinions?

I remember my friend did a while ago they did a nice job - it was for an evening event and she usually wears pretty dramatic makeup - I probably would scale it down a bit.
I dont think it can hurt ....give it a try if you dont like the way it looks you dont have to buy the products if you dont want them.

I did once, about a year ago. It was gorgeous, and I felt like a goddess. I had to buy a new outfit for the occasion!

Do they explain everything they're doing? I think part of the reason I don't like the way I do it is because I don't know how, especially eye makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup usually and am not really going for a dramatic look. DO they ask you a lot of questions about how you usually do your makeup?

My makeover was at Westfarms in Hartford - I should've mentioned that. They didn't really explain anything to me, but then I didn't really ask. I completely understand how you feel though, I never know how to do my own makeup. LOL

I have been to 3 makeovers by MAC, but all in Manhattan!!! Honestly, I wasn't crazy about the first 2 but the last came out BEAUTIFULLY!!! I would use this artist for my wedding if I could!!! You can FM me if you want any details and you are willing to come to the city!!!

I went not for a complete makeover but for one of those trial thingies at the counter where they tell you what the best colors are for you and I didnt like what they chose at all. Since I am so fair skinned, they always tend to use pinks on my face and I hate pink with a passion!!!!!! But i cant say it was only MAC that did this, its usually all makeup people that think like this for me.
I did buy a lot of their makeup in the colors I liked for the wedding though.

I did and I hated it! Then again, I don't wear a lot of make-up, and when I do it's all very 'earthy' tones. I told the girl this but she still put glittery greenish and purpleish stuff all over my face, I felt like a clown. It just wasn't for me!
