Has anyone had or been to a Thatched Cottage wedding?

I'm seriously considering having my wedding there in 2004. I've only had opions from a couple of people that have been to weddings there, but no one who actually had it there. Anyone have thoughts they can share?

Ok- so I've done a search and sent a few FM's to brides who have said they are having/had their wedding there recently. Made an appt to check it out and will be sure to get things in writing to be on the safe side.
I just really like the fact that I don't know anyone who has had a wedding there. I've been to weddings everywhere on LI except there (maybe that not a good thing though... ) Villa Lombardis, East Wind, Meadow Club, Bellport Country Club, Oheka, Lands End, Watermill, Miller Place Inn.... are all weddings I've been to for family members.

My fiance and I went there for a wedding in Nov of 2002 and we were not impressed at all.The seating was aweful , we could not even see the bride and groom. The food was ok nothing to write home about and there was ants in alcohol .I actually think it came from the ice they were using. It took a new bottle of liquor and no ice for him to not have any ants in his drink.I would not recommend this place to anyone .
