Has anyone had their driveway paved? How much?

Has anyone had their driveway paved? How much?

When we bought the house in July 2002 the driveway wasn't in the best shape. And now from the last 2 winters it is horrible.

Can anyone give a base price and a recommendation?

My parents just did this last spring I will see how much it was. They did concrete however so I am not sure if thats what you are looking for and then thye had one side lined with beligum blocks which added a few hundred dollars.
Our Drive way is one car wide but about 3 deep,

How big is the driveway? Concrete or asphalt? Border or no?

We have a 2 car driveway and walkway in blacktop w/a block border. I think it was btwn $150 and $175 a square foot.

Is this correct? My mother is thinking of doing the same.

Let's see, it fits about two cars wide so thats about 10 feet wide. It also fits two cars deep which you figure is about 20 feet deep. Total sq footage is 10x20 =200 sq feet.

At $150 a square foot that comes to $30,000!!!!!!!!!!

Could it really be that much?

Am I missing something?

I just checked w/DH. The price is per square yard. Sorry for the confusion.

We paid a bout $2,000, maybe a little more, because we had the belgium blocks along the front of the driveway.

Call up a few places and get estimates.

$2,000 isn't that bad IMO.
