Mt FH bought the ring and it was a size and a half to big for me. I had to have it be resized. I am so worried that not the ring will be compromised and I am only in for more problems. But, it was just too big to wear. Can you let me know if there has been a difference since resizing, good or bad? Please, I'm so worried.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
The same exact thing happened to me...and I obsessed over it!
He got me a 6 1/2 and I had them make it a 5 3/4.
By looking at it you really can't tell...I can because I stare at it all the time. But it was really NOT a big deal.
I was really worried about it because its platinum which is hard to work with..but they did it!! I kept asking if the band would be ok and that I absolutely did not want another band!!
If you have any other questions FM me.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
Mine was too big, but I had two platinum balls fused on the inside of the band so I didnt have to take anything away from the ring. It tightened up the ring, and they can also be removed if I wanted to remove them in the future.

i had to have mine sized it was too big they made a mistake on the size so as soon as I got it the jeweler came to pick it up from me the next weekend and I was i without it for a whole week. it had to be flown to california to because of the invisible setting.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
I had to resize my ring from 6 to 5 1/2. Like you, I was worried too but it turned out to be good. It's like it wasn't even resize because you don't see the changed.

Mine was resized from a 5 3/4 to a 5 1/2 and there is absolutely no difference to the band.

Since I've lost a nice amount of weight, I lost a 1 1/2 ring size. It only took the jeweler about a week to fix.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
you shouldn't really have to leave your ring anywhere to get it resized. In most case, they should and will do it right in front of you. I would never leave my diamond anywhere. They can pop it out and replace it with a fake. My FH and I waited and watched our jeweler resize my ring. The only bad thing is my band is white gold, and where it was resized, it's turning yellow a bit. I think I just have to get it dipped to white. I don't think I will do that until right before the wedding though.

Don't worry, the ring will be fine. My FH got my ring a whole size and half to large. I went from a 6 to a 4 1/2. You will feel much better that the ring is secure on your finger.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
Yes, I had it resized and didn't have any problems. My ring is FH's great-grandmother's and it was a size 8 (I'm a 5.5). She also wore a smaller size, but used ring guards. The woman at Estate Jewels of Huntington told me this could scratch the platinum, so we just resized it. They had my ring for a week (it was also being restored) and it came back perfectly.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
I was a size 8 ring and now I am a 5 and ahalf. The person who sized my finger said that the diamond is NOT supposed to shift around when you wear it although I was sized on a cool day. Come summertime, it could be an issue when my fingers expand.

I had my sized --because the ring was turning. It fit great for about 2 weeks --but now it is shifting again. I am really hesitant to get a smaller size though -especially with summer coming.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
I had to have mine resized to a 3 1/2! Luckily mine was a solitaire--they said had I had baguettes there would have been a problem as making it that small would have put too much pressure on the side stones and they might pop out.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
Mine is getting resized and appraised right now!! I did leave it with them, but I trust the jeweler and am not worried about leaving it with him. Mine is getting enlarged from a 4 1/2 to a 5 1/2....its an heirloom and his family has TINY fingers.

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
Mine is also too big...since the ring was made in Chicago FH didn't trust for me to bring to any jeweler in NY. We just had a guard put on it...which works really well because I can take it off in the summer when its hot and my fingers swell a little bit...in the winter I just have the guard put on...it'll be better this way when I get pregant and your fingers double in size I don't have to worry about it not fitting

Re: Has anyone had their e-ring resized?
Yes, I had mine resized from 6 1/2 to 5 3/4.... It seemed fine but a few weeks later gold spots appeared on my platinum ring where I got it resized...I have since then found an amazing jeweler (in VA) who said they used gold to size it and he fixed it for me (and also designed our wedding rings)....I would say find a reputable jeweler...Almost all my friends have a horror ring story with a jeweler. I think it's easier to find one in NY. GOod LUck!
