certain birth control may cause your hair to thin and or fall out.
my hair has been falling out something terrible and i was talking to my nail girl and she said her cousin went to the dr. for her hair falling out and it was caused by the birth control she was using.
i've never heard of such a thing, but at this point i'll take it as a possibility.
i know it could be stress to, but i don't feel like i'm 100% stressed out enough to be losing my hair.
any ideas would be great

I never heard of that. Is it falling out or breaking. I though mine was falling out and it was breaking

i never heard of that either.... the first thing I would do is have your thyroid checked out, that is a super common side effect. also, when the seasons change, hair can fall out. have you been losing a lot of weight?? that could be another reason.

I'm on the patch, othra evra. my hair has been falling out clumps every morning after my shower for over a year now. I went to the dermotologist and he recommended boitin to make my hair stronger. its not working. i do have an appt coming up within the next month to my gyno so i guess i'll ask him what the deal is. its pretty frightening though. my hair is so long yet its so thin. oh, i haven't been losing weight.

I wouldn't wait until next month to get that checked out..... especially if you don't know what is causing the hair loss.

I know that STRESS causes hair loss, that's something to consider.
You might not feel stressed but subconsciously, you might have many things going on!
