Has anyone heard of UCC - members only buying direct?

I don't know much about it...my friend is registered there for baby furniture and I got a card and the website (for the registry) is www.giftsbyucc.com

I clicked on 'visitors' to see what it was all about. It seems like to be a members only place but you're buying direct from the manufactuers (sp) and supposedly you save alot of money.

Do you have to pay for membership? I'm assuming so....

If anyone is a member I'd like to know more about it (you have to take an actual tour to get to know more about it from the company and I don't want a sales pitch yet). I can't ask my friend - well I'm sure she knows she's having a shower since she registered - but I don't want to ask her about it yet. I don't know if I can even go so I don't know when I'll be able to talk to her about the place...

but if the prices are cheap maybe it works out in the end. do you know if he/she thinks it's worth it?
