Has anyone looked into advertising for their child?

Has anyone looked into advertising for their child?

Someone gave my number to a management company for children. I have an appointment to meet w/them next week, just to check it out. They said sometimes some children make enough $$$ from print ads that it funds their enducations. Hey, I'm all for that. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

I don't have any experience personally with it but, being that i work at an ad agency, the only advice i can give you is make sure you do it all through an agent. Lots of times we have received unsolicited pictures of cute babies whose parents write 'oh i saw your ad for such and such and i think my little boy would be perfect for your ads'. We can't use those - only the ones that are being represented by an agency.

Our baby has done some work and honestly we decided that it was not worth the run around at such a young age she was 2-3. We'll wait until she is older and can go up for actual roles..again if thats what she wants to do. Honestly you cant work full time or you better have a really understanding job. The $$$ doesnt really come from just booking a few jobs unless they are actual campaigns or commericals or even tv work. Print does not pay all that great..its good but nothing to fund an education from unless its consistent..and that comes from being a full time investment into your childs career.

I work at an ad agency too, and I can only say, if you're really thinking of this, make sure you have a reputable agent.
There is a lot of money to be made, more in TV b/c of the residuals, but, it's a lot of running around

Are you bringing Amber for her first consultation or for pictures? How much time will you dedicate? The problem my SIL has is that she lives in PA and most of the auditions are in NYC and she doesn't want to travel that often.
