And not regretted it later? I am getting married the friday evening of Memorial Day weekend, but I feel that the people I want there already now about the day and will be there regardless. But then part of me feels like maybe I should just get it together and send some. (BTW, there are not many out of towners).
I think you should do them even if it's by e-mail because your wedding is on a weekday before a holiday weekend. Traffic's going to be terrible even if your guests are staying in town. This will give them enough notice take a couple hours off if needed.
The last three weddings I've been invited to did not send STDs and everything was fine. Although, two of the weddings took place 6-7 months after the couple got engaged so there really was no need.
I ordered save the dates for all my guest but I only sent them to guests who lived out of state, and would need to purchase airfare. Years ago no one sent save the dates, as long as you send your invites out with 8-10 weeks in advance there is no need for stds.
I didn't do them, but like the other girls said since it is so close to a holiday, I would send something out before hand.
i would send them to those that live out of state or those not immediate family (since you said most your family knows) then if you want to save on costs. It is a holiday weekend so you just wanna make sure they dont make other plans!
We only did them for out of towners and family/close friends and I dont regret sending them to everyone.
