I have 8 months til the wedding, so I really didn't think it was a big deal. My shower is going to be the beginning of August, so I have time for that, too.
When I tell people I haven't registered yet, they make a shocked face and act like I'm a big loser or something

You should register soon b/c when we first got engaged the first thing (besides when and where is the wedding) people asking is where are you Registerd at. People like to send gifts and if you're registered then can get you things you need and want. Go to BBB. They're sooo helpful.

Hmm I guess I started in January - about 8 months before the wedding. I was totally not motivated at all! Just lots of pressure from the family. It's just something we brides have to do!

i registered last year, i think it was april or may. i only registered because if i did it then i got a $50 giftcard lol
i didnt complete even half of my registry but i plan on finishing it over the spring break so its one less thing to worry about (plus im not going to know when my shower is - so i need to be prepared)

I didn't want to know when my shower is either, but my cousin is going off to college in August and I know it has to be before she leaves. We're close and I need her to be there! She's a reader, too.

i think i was a late register-er... the wedding is in may, shower is this weekend, and we registered in late december.... i dont have any regrets about it, we got a few engagement gifts before we registered but they were all really nice, and some of it was stuff i wouldn't have even thought of registering for, so it worked out nicely

I haven't registered yet. I figure I'll get around to it after I get back from NY in a few weeks. As long as you leave a few months before your shower, you'll be fine.

I didn't register yet either. My wedding is Nov. We already had an engagement party and I know my shower isn't until august or september, so I've been putting it off. I'll start soon. Right now I'm making the mental registry list.
