I am addicted to this thing when I go to the gym and other than some light weight lifting and ab work on the floor mat, it's really the only thing I do at the gym, so i've been thinking, why pay for a gym membership when I can just own an elliptical. I know they are pricey, but so is a gym membership. I'm wondering, what is the maintenance like? If they are high maintenance, I might just stick to the gym.

Re: Has anyone purchased a Precor Elliptical?
I have a Ironman Elliptical machine. It is a little smaller than the standard elliptical machines.
I have had mine for 2 years and it still works great. The only maintenance it has had so far is changing the batteries so the calorie/distance tracker works.
I like the fact that I can work out at home whenever I want.

Just to let you know - I saw them at Costco!
I don't remember the price, I'm sorry, but I DID see it there!

I was thinking the same. Does anyone have a price estimate?
