Has anyone read Middlesex?

Has anyone read Middlesex?

I had started reading it before I moved in February and didn't bring it with me. I just found it on the shelf in my old bedroom at my parents' house. I was about 2/3 of the way through and now I have to start from the beginning again because I had forgotten most of what I read.

It's by the guy who wrote Virgin Suicides and it's really good.

I started it and I didn't get through it. I just don't have the head for it now (wedding is a month away). I hope to pick it up again in February because I have heard nothing but phenominal reviews from critics and actual friends who have read it. Multiple people have told me it was their all-time favorite book so I am hoping to get through it sometime next year.

I loved Middlesex. I read it in three days. When I think about it the word 'LUSH' comes to mind.

Finished it over the weekend and I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that we don't find out more about what happens between the ages of 15 and 41!!!

But, it is beautifully written!

That didn't bother me too much. The whole story felt like a modern fairy tale--and they all lived happily ever after, or got what was coming to them......
