Has anyone ring finger shrunk?(lol)

My e-ring is now big on me, and I have to be careful of it not falling off. My mom says it because in the winter our bodies retain less water, so I'm afaid of getting it sized smaller and the not fitting in the summer. Has anyone gone thru this? Thanks in advance.

YES! I even got those Tiffany balls put in to make it fit, and its loose again. I'm sure its just the cold weather and I'm figuring that in the summer it'll be a little tight. I'd rather that so I don't have to feel paranoind that its going to slip off at any moment!

yes me too!!! No wonder!!!! When I first got it, it fit okay but lately it's
been loose and I always have to keep touching it. But in the mornings,
if I put it on or if I sleep with any rings on, they always feel real tight!!!!
I wonder why?

When, I got my ring in the summer it fit perfect!!!!!!

Now, it swings...and sways from left to right. I hate it!!!

I am so scared of loosing it. I constanlty check to see if it is on. I think, it is better to leave it a lil loose because if you gain a pound or 2 or during the hot summer weather, it will fit perfect..

You should probably just get a ring-guard, they work well. This is exactly what I am afraid of and why I am not getting an eternity wedding band.

yup, then sometimes in the summer my finger puffs up in it...

the only thing i could think of would be a cheap ring adjuster thats removable...
otherwise with the tiffany's balls youd be cutting them off and adding them all the time..

in the summer/hot weather, and while you are sleeping, you retain water. that is why when youwake up, your eyes and face are puffy. mine is looser now than in the summer. get those balls put on the inside. this way, when you get pregnant, you can get them taken off and put back on anytime. you don't notice them either, unless your fh squeezes your hand

Since I'm having the same problem (I lost sixty pounds since my engagement) and I'm struggling with the plastic ring guard...

I never heard of this before, but what is this Tiffany ball thing?

your jeweler sodders these two metal balls into the bottom inside of your ring. it is quick and painless to your ring. it doesn't weaken the metal like cutting the ring does and it doesn't scratch the metal either. and as i said, you really don't notice it.

WOW!!--Congratulations.

Mine has been a little loose scince I got it and it shifts to the side, and I feel like I am always straigtening in in public & people are going to think I'm just trying to draw attention to it.

I'm going to wait untill we order our wedding bands this summer before I decide if it needs to be sized. I just got it in Novemebr, so I'm not sure if its winter or just that it was made too big to start.

Mine is loose also, and I know it wasn't made too big so I definitely think its the cold weather that is keeping it so loose.

Then again I actually don't like it when my rings are too tight anyhow, and I'm sure come summertime (when I get married) I'll appreciate the fact that it isn't too snug.

Yes...its definately the cold weather. When I first got my ering...I thought it was too tight...it fit..but I thought it shouldn't be that snug. I took it to have it sized bigger and the jeweler told me that I shouldn't have it sized...in the winter it will then be too big. I'm glad he told me that...because now it's a little loose. I am constantly starting at it...so I'm sure if I would notice if it was missing :)

Yup, same here.. My e-ring is loose in the winter and just right in the summer.

My mom had the e ring sized to a ring of mine that fits perfectly. ( ring was my grandmothers and she gave it to FH) I had to get a ring guard right away though! I hate when it slipps and slides.
