I made a white one for my sister and gave it to her at her shower. It was really easy to make and she took it apart and actually uses the towels. I am sure you can just switch the white ones for any color you want.

You can easily make it yourself. The link above has directions but I went to Marshalls and got 2 each of big white towels, medium, and hand towels. Then I went to Walmart and got heavy duty straight pins with a pearl head, ribbon, and fake flowers. I wish had a picture to post. Everyone was like, 'you didn't make that!'

They are so cute! I never even heard of them until about a year ago when a co-worker made a gorgeous one for her cousin! I think they are such a nice idea.

I can't find a better picture of the towel cake MIL's friend made.

It's all one color though.

I got a beautiful one at my bridal shower...I havent taken it apart...I love it!

The thing about the towel cake is that the person registered for 2 different color towels. Now, would that look weird, cause all of the cakes that I have seen the towels are 1 color.

That's a great idea!!!! I think I'm gonna have to hint to my FSIL about getting one!

What you could do is make the outer 'color' one of the towel colors shet picked and use the second color as the interior of the cake. I think you could do it - just play around with it some

I have!!

ANd I have actually seen them made out of diapers (cloth diapers) for my sisters baby shower.

My grandma's friend makes them and I believe she is making one for my bridal shower. I don't have any pics. But I'll ask my sister if she has any.

my sister made one for me for my shower. it was awesome. i dont have a pic with me. i hope i took one. but i felt bad taking it apart.
I forgot where she got the idea from.
