Has anyone seen? (silly me!)

Has anyone seen or can bump up my photographer question list?

I have a feeling that it was deleted by LIWeddings, which, if it's true, isn't fair because ever since I found out that they delete negative posts I was VERY careful to not put down any of the vendors I listed.

I also did that because I know not everyone has the same taste as I do and I didn't want to offend anyone who had chosen one of the vendors I listed!!

Maybe I just lost it....

Laura I did a search and couldnt find it either..maybe it was removed, FM Ron and he should let you know why.

We do not delete negative posts. We do remove posts and or threads that are in violation of the rules! In regard to photographers there have been a few posts stating people should not use specific photographers. What is interesting is these posts were made by people who did not use the photographer they are reviewing and in some cases aren't even married yet. So, how can you rate someone (any vendor) that you have not used? (that is a rhetorical question! ) Thus if you are looking for honest reviews so you can made a good decision for yourself shouldn't the information you seek come from someone that has used the vendor you are inquiring about?

I understand that you are trying to protect your reputation and your vendors but I have to respectfully disagree.

I checked the rules and they don't state anything about listing vendors by name and giving an opinion of what was experienced by others. (at any point in interactions) I wanted to know their overall experience. A bad meeting that led someone to not book a certain vendor is very valuable and a statement on the overall professionalism of a vendor. I'm sure that I know the post that led to the removal and I did not have an experience even close to that poster, quite the opposite.

Nothing stated in my thread, in my opinion, was any better or worse then others I have seen.

To say that someone can only give an opinion on the overall quality of a vendor they booked is accurate; to state that they must have booked, used, and been burned by one before they can give even a slight critique is ridiculous.

There doesn't seem to be a problem with others stating that they 'know' through others that a vendor's work is quality. I can honestly give an opinion on the vendors my MOH used as I was with her every step of the way in planning.

Unfortunately, this is all a matter of opinion (much like opinions on vendors) and mine differs greatly here. I understand if this is removed as well, I just want to get it out there and this will be the last time I bring it up.

Overall, I enjoy LIWeddings and I would like continue to use it, I guess this is just the way the world works.
