Has anyone shown pictures of potential dresses to FH?

from a magazine or something- not on yourself? Does anyone think that's bad luck?

I showed him. Only b/c he is SO fussy. The pic does the dress no justice, so it's no biggie to me. Before I showed him, I said no b/c it's bad luck. He said 'No, it's bad luck for me to SEE you in the dress' He's too cute!

I never showed FH any of my potential dresses. I definitely will not show him the dress that I did order. I am superstitious. But I don't really think it's bad luck to show him dresses from a magazine. It's not like it's your dress.

He likes to look in the magazines and tell me what he likes and doesn't like. He's so funny, one day we were trying to think of something to do for the day and he kept saying 'go dress shopping, go dress shopping...'

Being that he saw the dress that I had from a previous 'almost-wedding' that I had and was going to wear -- I am very careful not to let him see anything about this one!

i guess as long as he doesn't know which one you're getting it's not bad

I didn't show him rather he saw the book. We don't share the same opinion on dresses and since I'm the one wearing it....I WIN! I wouldn't do it - it's bad enough you have to argue with your mom about the dress but him too?

i'm actually getting my dress custom made, but I got the idea of the dress from a picture.
he's so funny- when I told him my friend (fashion designer-FIT trained!!) he said if it doesn't work out- HE'S STEPPING IN! I guess I should be happy he wants me to look good- and I want him to think I look good, that's why I wanted his input.

The 'legend' doesnt say its bad luck to show him a picture of the gown with another girl in it...
ITS BAD LUCK to have him SEE YOU IN IT....or a PICTURE OF YOU in it....

I havn't shown him, and keeping it a secret was killing me at first, but I got use to it.

I have a big fat mouth. I showed him a picture of the dress on a website the day I bought it. Oh well. He won't see it on me until the day of.

All I told him was ballgown and he has NO IDEA WHAT THE HECK THAT MEANS...Although I am sure he googled it

I have, and he has 'yessed and no'd' a few but the truth of the matter is that I really didnt like anything I saw in a magazine! I have a feeling I may end up having one made or having an existing one changed to suit my needs.

Ladies, not for nothing but what are the odds that they are paying that close attention to a picture in a magazine? Unless it is wrapped in a football, FH doesn't study anything that closely.

Haha my FH pays attention. I was reading one of the bridal magazines and fell asleep. I woke up and he had folded down the corners of the pages that had dresses he liked.

When I get my dress I won't show him a picture, describe it or anything. I want him to be surprised.

i showed some i liked from magazines, but now that i have gown chosen I would never show him or give him even a clue,

not superstitious, but I want that total WOW OH MY GOODNESS...AH HA moment when he sees me for the first time... yeah i am a cheese ball
