Has anyone stayed at the Kew Motor Inn?

Is it clean? sleezy? We're thinking of staying there the night of our wedding. They're website has some cool pics of rooms.

I always thought it was more on the sleazy side. I have never stayed there but don't they have 'hourly rates'????

You know, I thought it was odd when they were asking how many hours we would like to stay. thanks.

While it is somewhat nice, it is not the type of place you stay at the first night you are married. My friends and I have all been there (not what you think!!) and I wouldn't suggest it.

It is mostly a Motel - for 'hourly' stays...so not appropriate for a wedding night...IMO.
Think 'truckers' and 'ho*kers'.

Are you getting married in Queens?

It is a foul and nasty place.....However, there is a Ramada that is around Douglaston that is better or you could always cross over into Suffolk County for other LI hotels.

IMO I don't think its the appropriate place to stay on your wedding night..its more of a short stay place if u know what I mean

I agree the reputation is less then stellar.

On our wedding night we had oot and family @ our house so we stayed @ the Crowne Plaza by Laguardia - it was nice

IF you are doing the Queens wedding thing check out the airports near JFK or Lga @ least they are for more geared for business/tourists.

Re: Has anyone stayed at the Kew Motor Inn?

Am I glad I asked you guys. You saved me a trip to Queens (I live in Suffolk). We were going to take a ride to check it out. Their website makes it look so nice. We're leaving for our honeymoon the day after out of JFK so we were looking for a nice place to stay that has a jacuzzi and room service Clean not sleezy like this hotel apparently is !!

check out the Radisson @ JFK _ I think its relatively new. There is not really anywhere to walk around or do anything but I am sure you will be eager to end your stay there and get to that honeymoon.

I believe there is also a Holiday Inn.

Tell them its your wedding night maybe they will upgrade you or have a suite.

It's really sketch..They actually wrote an article about it in the local paper last year about how it serves the community with its low rates for people having illicit affairs. it was SOOOO gross. i really wouldn;t stay thre. If price is a concern try hotwire!

I use to go there with my ex - it is very sleezy - it's the type of place you'd go for a 'spicey' night - DEFINITELY not the type of place you'd spend your wedding night!
