Has anyone taken a Bermuda cruise?

Has anyone taken a Bermuda cruise?

We are getting married in May, but do not have a lot of time for a honeymoon. We really want to go to Ireland for 3 weeks in the summer but would like to do something (not to expensive) after we get married. Neither of us have been on a cruise and figured if we left from NYC it would save us on airfare. I probably sound cheap, but we are paying for everything however I dont want to lose out on doing something folowing our big day. Any ideas?

I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise from Ny to Bermuda this summer. It was the first cruise ever went on and we had a great time. I'd be happy to answer any questions about it.

There were lots of Hmooners on the cruis ship and they seened to be having a great time. The only complaint I had was that the ships going out of NYC are smaller so the roomsa re smaller

I thought it was a great vacation. We were on the Nortic Empress. The cruise was really fun and the food was great. The ship was a little older and smaller than most others, but that wasn't a problem for us. There were alot of activities on board, but there was also the option to just relax by the pool all day. At night the entertainment was good and there were alot of lounges and clubs.

Bermuda was really beautiful, and since the boat docked there for 4 days we really were able to do alot. We went to the beaches, which are supposed to be some of the most beautiful in the world, we rented a boat, went snorkeling, kyacking and did alot of shopping.

I think it would be nice for a honeymoon. There were alot of honeymoners on our ship. I think me and FI are going to book another cruise for our honeymoon because I hate flying.

I would recommend it for a honeymoon. I went with another couple and expected to do more partying and stuff. Everyone I know parties when they go on a cruise. My ship didn't have much of a party atmosphere. Actually the week I went the crowd was older (and we are 30).

The food was terrific/outstanding. The rooms were average (I have only been on a cruise to nowhere so in comparison the on this cruise were much larger). The service was fine. The island of Bermuda is absolutely gorgeous and very easy to get around. We had so much fun exploring on Horseshoe Bay! Then in Hamilton - there is nightlife!

Let me know if you have specific questions!

We were thinking of going in the summer. We got married in November & the NYC cruises end in October so we said we would go local for our honeymoon & take a cruise over the summer. We also paid for everything ourselves.

We took the Royal Caribbean Nordic Empress to Bermuda in July 2000. The ship is a little older than what I was used to on other cruises I took and I was not happy with the seating we had at dinner (they sat us with all old people).

Bermuda is gorgeous and I would go back again in a heartbeat. I would probably try the Celebrity cruise line to Bermuda.
