Has anyone tried on their dress..

in one color and ordered it in another without seeing it first?

What happened when your dress came in, did you still love it?

So did I! I saw it in a magazine, and went to a bridal shop the next week. I asked about it and he told me that it was too new and that no one had it on the floors because the designer hadnt sent it out yet. So he let me try on a few that were cut similarly, and I bought it. The first time I ever saw it in person was for my first fitting! Good think I loved it, I was prepared to have to go to Davids Bridal and buy something off the 99 dollar rack! But I got really lucky.

I tried mine on in gold and ordered it in diamond white. I was shocked at first, and wasn't sure if I liked it, but now I LOVE it!

Yup..I tried on a champagne color and getting it in white.
While ordering it, just happened that the dress was there in white for another bride and I got to sneak a peak.
I was happier to see it that way.

That's what I did but I have NO clue how his white satin & white lace looks.

YUP!! They only had it in gold and I ordered diamond white. When it came in I was amazed at how beautiful it was. It was exciting to see it for the first time. Definitely an experience to visit 'the one'.

I was realy nervous about it but I wouldnt change a thing.

I LOVE IT!

I tried on champagne and ordered it in white. I was nervous - I even made the sales lady get a similar dress that was in white so I can get an idea of what it would be like. But I am so happy I did. I love it even more in white.

same here. Most samples are ivory since a white dress would stain too easily to last as a sample more than a few weeks.

I even tried on one dress in oyster (kind of greenish) and would have ordered that in white too

if you are nervous ordering a dress in a different color than the one you tried one, call the local bridal shops and see who has it in your color and go just to try it on, then you will know for sure. i found my maggie at fantasia in white w/blush accent and loved it! but i got it for $100 cheaper at centereach bridal, and they had ivory. i liked it a lot better when i tried it on in the white and thats what i ordered it in. ~lacey
