Has anyone tried Venetian Plaster (painting?)

I am going to buy this in the morning for my living room - I was just wondering if anyone has tried it?

No it looks beautiful thought when I see it on HGTV, tell me how it comes out!! I want to do it in the Master bath. They say it is real expensive though, so let me know! Good luck

I love the idea of doing it in a bathroom - I hope it's not going to look funny in a living -room?
I didn't know it was expensive - but I am going to buy it today so I will let you know about price.

a friend of Al's did it to all his walls, and Al LOVES it (I haven't seen it). But he's already planning on it for our house.

I love the way it looks!

However, I am leary about doing any 'textured' walls b/c its not something that can be easily changed. Ive lived in houses that have panelling, wallpaper, sand textured paint and a number of other thing that were fashionable when they were put up..but are difficult to remove. So Im pretty much freaked about doing anything like that. I will just live vicariously thru you :D
