Can you explain the idea of a Groom's cake. Do you serve both cakes to the guests? I have never been to a wedding where there were two cakes.

Where did you go?

Thanks for all of the ideas......I meant to ask where to get one. Every time I ask bakers if they make groom cakes they say they never have. I found one that does it here in the city but it is a small fortune.

Groom's Cake

A groom's cake has been a southern tradition. It traditionally was a chocholate cake that was cut up and put into boxes for guests to take home with them. Today everything goes. Many serve both cakes, having two cake cuttings, then people can have the choice. Some people even do the groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner.
