Has anyone's FH/DH seen the musical 'Rent'?

..and liked it? I bought two tickets to the national tour (its playing near us in DC) and i am so excited to see it..I LOVE the show.

However he has it in his head he will hate it (not a big fan of musicals but never saw a broadway show..).

SO...has anyones husband/fiance/father/brother seen the show and enjoyed it? If so let me know..I will make him read this thread and then be able to say SEE I TOLD YOU SO, lol...

FI took me for my birthday last year - we both LOVED it, and he is also your 'typical guy.' Case in point, we were talking about the show during the intermission, and I was mentioning some plot details, something about several of the characters having AIDS, and FI asks me, 'How do you know they have AIDS?' I said something along the lines of it being mentioned in some of the song lyrics and such. FI turns to me and says, 'You mean I have to pay attention to the song lyrics???' I started cracking up!

My FH took me to see RENT about 5 years ago and we both loved it. It's different. Very contemporary music, nice company arrangements, etc.

FH bought the soundtrack and we sometimes listen to it while driving. We know the words to every song. They're that addicting.

DH went to see Rent 2 x's. The first time with his sister and a year later with me. The first time he had pulled an all nighter and his sister had won last minute tickets front row. WEll, Guess what? He fell asleep throughout the whole show. So when he saw it with me it was like the first time. He enjoyed it@!
