I think I am the only one on here with old school taste

I must preface with the fact that I am completely and absolutely obsessed with all things related to fine china..

i already have accumulated a lot of it but.....

my pattern which was a pain in the neck to find and register for is an antique reproduction of old french limoge patterns....the set is 4 different patterns that match perfectly...

this pic is an example of the style....each plate plate plays on the mixture of pinks, blues, greens and yellows...

can you tell how into this i am...

i TOTALLYUNDERSTAND WE ARE ACTUALLY ALSO GETTING FH'S GRANDMOTHER'S FINE CHINA WHICH IS AN ANTIQUE FROM ITALY & I AM PROUD TO BE THE ONE RECEIVING IT! IM GOING TO HAVE ALOT OF STUFF THANK GOODNESS WE HAVE TWO HOMES HAHAHAHA

well i live in an apartment and cannot even serve cold cuts without breaking out the china...

fh wants to kill me sometimes....lol

can i be honest for a second ... This is my OWN PERSONAL OPINION sooo dont stone me after reading it: personally i think all china looks the same! and i dont really like any of it! and i mean for $120 a place setting i dont think its worth it! i think i may get a nicer set for when people come over but i dont know if im going to do china china ... like i like lenox vibe. i think those are nice and nice enough to use when people come over. Thats just me

I wasnt going to do china til my mom told me she was giving me hers. Your not the only one...I was getting an everyday dish set that I was going to use for china. Pic is above somewhere.

I chose Vera Wang Lace
I wanted something traditional with a bit of a modern feel. It remindes me of my Grandmother's china (but hers had the lace around the outside in gold) and I LOVED how the one plate was different--I fel it gave more contempoary feel---I can't wait to use it!!
Go with your instincts, it can be very overwhelming, there's so much to choose from!

That's our china too!!! Although there's no changing my mind, FMIL already bought us most of it

I picked Lenox Opal Innocence.... I fell in love with it and its reminds me of my grandmother's pattern
