We come over to 08 to help you, answer questions...some to try and help fan the flames.
We get aggitated when you post on NW b/c its always a wedding question and like I said the last time this went on-not ALL the NWs want to talk about weddings. So we will go to BHB, 08, 09 to see if we can help being that we have been there.
The 06ers were a wealth of knowledge to us...and we hope we can be the same for you. But if you dont want us coming over to help....we wont! But be sure when you post on BHB or NW we wont answer.
The NW board is like a right of passage-its hard to explain but that is how you will feel once youare married and someone says.....im wearing diamond white and my shoes are white-should I dye them-we allbut we answer the best that we can...you will too when its all over.

um yea you are right, BUT the general term 'posting on our board' not necessarily in terms of THAT thread was used-hence why I responded that way.
We get involved in drama no matter waht board-like I said-once you are there and see you will feel the same. I didnt understand it before I got married and now I do. Sometimes I just want to BS with the girl and not talk about placecards...and some days I want to talk about place cards.
And just so you know-i do actually comeover here and scour the boards and see if there is any advice I can offer other then drama![]()

not for nothing but that thread was waaaay into the drama before we came over. at the point we arrived it was already out of hand and we were trying to get some giggles out of it. when i first posted to it--i was sincere and not being 'drama' -- later when i viewed it--it was nutso. so i, along with others, posted funny pics cause it was just ridicilious at that point.

by posting silly pictures i don't think that is perpetuating the drama--that is saying 'c'mon laugh at THIS!!!!' trying to get ppl to forget the stupidity coming out of both sides of the thread isn't added to drama--its attempting to chill it out.
if i wanted to perpetuate the ACTUAL drama of that thread---oh boy i sure could have...trust me the thread wouldn't have made it to 9 pages--it would have been pulled.....QUICK

Some of you were doing that, but others were calling the OP immature and selfish and whatnot, and as all of us liwers know, calling someone selfish or immature guarantees a drama thread on these boards!

I think this is incredibly selfish.
It's one thing to OFFER flip flops as a comfortable alternative, but to force your bridesmaids to wear shoes that might actually be PHYSICALLY painful to them seems very selfish to me. As grown adults, I think they can make the decision as to whether or not a wedding is an appropriate place to be barefoot.
I honestly have NO idea about the shoe status of my bridesmaids OR wedding guests on my wedding day. The LAST thing I would have been looking that day is people's feet. Besides your new husband, there will be a ton of wonderful, smiling people around you. I wouldn't worry too much about what is or isn't on their feet.
