Hat themed bridal shower?

I saw this on platinum weddings and thought it would be cute (although I was told I am not allowed to make any suggestions about my bridal shower )

So the whole point is for all the women to come to the shower in their best hats (usually a big puffy sunday brunch or church hat) and then you work around that.

You can give a prize for the best hat, have hat boxes as the centerpieces and so on...

What do you girls think? I thought it would be a cute different idea but as I said I will probably be ignored.
