Have any late Sept/October brides cancelled their honeymoon?
As of today, we're still planning to drive to Boston and take our 10 day cruise through Canada and New England. What are everyone else's plans now? Just need reassurance. Thanks.

Have any late Sept/October brides cancelled their honeymoon?
I was just discussing this at work. We are seriously considering cancelling our Honeymoon to Hawaii. First of all, I am terrified to fly to CA. And secondly, who knows when we will strike and 'officially' be at war. I know I will want to be close to home and who could have a good time on vacation with all this going on. Curious what everyone else is doing.

Cancelled and planning a drive up north
I just got married this past weekend and we were scheduled to go to Tahiti. With everything that is going on they didn't know when we could go so we cancelled for a full refund and are planning a week up north to Vermont Maine and New Hampshire. Driving seems like the way to go for us. When everything is more 'normal' we will try Tahiti again.

Fortunately our need to postpone worked in our favor...
Because my fiance was short on vacation days, we originally had to postpone our plans for a honeymoon, and were just talking a couple of weeks ago of how we would put the full-blown honeymoon off til March for our birthdays. For our honeymoon right after the wedding, we were considering Gurney`s in Montauk and Mohonk Mt. We booked Mohonk. While a trip to some exotic place would have been great, we`re not big on traveling far from home and don`t even go out much. I`m just looking forward to spending quite time alone with my soon-to-be husband and appreciating his presence, especially now with everything that`s happened. Had we booked an elaborate trip somewhere .. I don`t know what we`d do. We have friends who had major trips booked. One married couple was scheduled to go to Ecuador, and they canceled. Someone else we know booked a trip to Spain, and as far as we know, he`s still going.

WE are still deciding....
I am so upset at the thought that we might have to cancel our honeymoon. We are taking a cruise on the Mediterranian. If we do have to then we plan on driving up to Vermont then on to Canada. Good Luck to all Lisa

Still doing what we planned..
We are getting married on Sunday and our original plan was to drive up to Quebec City and then go to New Hampshire to the White Mountain region. We had originally also planned to stay in a cabin in the woods in Northern New Hampshire, but we had to cut that part out, because I cannot take all the time off from work I was originally supposed to (the other supervisor in my department quit a few weeks ago and they are not replacing her). I can tell you that those of you who are planning to go to New England will not be disappointed. It is still a little early for foliage, but sometime in the next week or two New Hampshire will be the most beautiful place you have ever seen. If anyone wants suggestions for places to stay or things to do I can give you lots. We go there several times a year and are planning on buying property for a vacation home.

Re: we are still doing what we planned!
We actually didn't even think twice about it! We are just a little worried that the airline that we are taking down to Florida (Jet Blue) may be out of business, because of all the cut backs, but we feel OK about going on our 10-day cruise to the Southern Carribbean. I am actually looking forward to some peace and quite with my husband! Good luck everyone and do what will make you the happiest!

Don't cancel !!!
My husband and I are celebrating our first anniversary by going to Cancun this Saturday! My philisophy is that if the flight is taking off the ground, then I will be on it. If I'm meant to die then, then there's nothing I can do about it. If you think about it, those poor, innocent people died just GOING TO WORK, but you still go to work, don't you? I will NOT die now, nor will I WAIT to die - we must live, or those terrorists will win!

Don`t cancel !!!
I don't want them to win either, trust me. But I can't help thinking that we don't know what state this country will be in in terms of war. And I don't think I can have a pleasant time sunning myself so far from home if we are fully at war. Ya know?

I doubt we will be at War
Here is what I think, The Afganastan gov't is a very small group of extermists. Most of the 'regular' people in Afganastan want their democracy back, and there are many 'rebels' trying to get their country back. With almost 99.9% of all other World leaders behind the US on this issue there is not much chance of WWIII. I think we will have military strikes and intervention but not full fledge war, such as WWII. It will be hard to go on your vacations but LaurenDM is right. Don't let a very evil men turn our lives upside down. Try to have a great time!!!!

Have any late Sept/October brides cancelled their honeymoon?
As scared as I am about my upcoming Honeymoon to Hawaii-- I think we may still go . I am so angry about what has happened -- and I feel like , if we let these horrible people alter our lives any more -- then they have won !! Weddings are one way to show that life does go on -- and so does love and freedom , and it should be celebrated. We live in the greatest country on the earth -- and I am not going to let an outsider determine what I can and can''''t do . Our fathers fought for freedom-- and now we have to defend it -- but most of all -- we have to keep believing in it !! God Bless all !!Welcome New Vendors
