...had food tastings yet? A few friends getting married next year already did tastings but I feel like it is so far in advance- I am so excited to go to ours, but I am not sure when to e-mail the banquet manager to schedule it
Nope. I'm not going to even ask about it until 6 months before.
I've sampled food at showcases but we haven't done our official tasting. I want to wait until we're ready d decide on menu anyway or I'd probably change my mind 20x! Lol

FH and I sampled some food and dessert at a showcase then scheduled our food tasting a few weeks later. My venue offers lunch during the weekdays so I can always go back and try more stuff.
ETA: Just noticed you're getting married at the Milleridge. I've been there a few times and the food was always amazing!
Not yet, I kinda wanted to do it like a year out so we were having our year to wedding anniversary AT our RH!
I want to do it soon, because I plan on eating everything they offer us, but I'm in the process of trying to lose weight. So if I do it now, I won't feel as guilty, because I'll have so much time to make up for all those calories!!

Our venue has a restaurant, and we've eaten there and loved it, so we're not in a big rush to do our tasting. I figure 5-6 months out we'll start asking about it.
We will actually be doing ours relatively soon (within the next few months) since we want to see how our venue looks during our season! We booked it when it was still chilly so I am excited to see the transformation :)
I did my food tasting. FH and I wanted to make sure we liked the food.
We did our tasting before we booked. We wouldn't have felt comfortable putting money down until we were sure we loved the food as much as the venue!
I had a tasting with my family before we even booked!! I wouldnt book without tasting and East Wind has showcases so often I get my moneys worth! :)
we went once because they offered it and we're going to go again closer to the wedding and request certain things and see how it goes. they don't charge so we figured why not the first time because it gave us an opportunity to show our parents and friends the place.
We have our food tasting booked for the first weekend in June... can't wait :)

I have no clue when we do ours. I'm guessing about 3 or 4 months before. I can't wait for it though!!
