You can bring pictures. On our appointment he wanted to know how many centerpiece arrangements we wanted. What kind of flowers we like, how many in our bridal party. They want an idea of what your looking for. Also our florist had centerpieces and arrangements on display so we can see what they look like. They had pictures also.
Be prepared to be there for quite awhile (our first was like 2.5 hrs!) They will help you 'gather' your thoughts. We also showed pics of the colors we had in mind..

I refused to meet with any florists who wouldn't make me a sample before I booked. So at my first meeting, I had a sample CP waiting for me. From there, we searched for photos for bouquets and discussed the particulars. We were there for about an hour and a half- much longer than I expected!

You can def bring pictures if you have an idea or know what you want. I would also suggest bringing a list of what you will need. For ex how many BM bouquets, how many GM bouts, parent bouts n corsages, approximate # of CPs etc..
